Amaury Geens was interested in music and started developing his artistic talent already from the early age of 4. He pursued this passion for music to a profession, within the Arts2 (Royal Conservatory of Mons) and at the Departmental Radiation Conservatory of Saint-Quentin (Fr). Currently, he is doing a specialisation in contemporary music, within a post-master program lead by Ictus and Spectra Ensembles at the School of Arts/KASK/Conservatorium Ghent.

Besides being extremely interested and involved in contemporary music and new creations, Amaury is equally engaged in the baroque music and original repertoire for saxophone.

Amaury is currently developing an artistic project, set to be presented from the beginning of 2018, which revolves around creating extension of the saxophone with electric guitar pedals.

Since September 2017, Amaury teaches saxophone at the Woluwe-Saint-Pierre music academy.
